About the Hosts

David Solomon

David Solomon is Director of Content Innovation & Brand Engagement, Gramophone and World Wide Stereo. He has one of the most diverse and influential careers in high-end audio. A pioneer in digital audio, he’s spent decades shaping how we listen by blending technology, music, and education. In 2004, he co-founded Peachtree Audio, the first brand to build amplifiers for the digital future. He later led Tidal’s U.S. launch in 2014, bringing lossless streaming to American listeners, and served as VP at Qobuz, helping establish it as the premier high-res streaming platform for audiophiles. During the pandemic, David created Qobuz Live, a livestream series that connected artists, engineers, and the audio community. In 2025, he returned to retail with Gramophone and World Wide Stereo to lead content innovation and engagement. His flagship project, Tuned In, is a weekly podcast exploring the intersection of audio, video, design, and home tech. A lifelong musician, mixing engineer, and passionate music lover, David is known for his infectious enthusiasm and deep expertise in high-performance audio.
