Part II: Who Are The Gramophonians? Meet Julia & Ela

Last week, Laura Forrester, one of three marketing interns at Gramophone this summer continues the Employee spotlight series with her co-interns, Julia & Ela.

These two awesome girls are Julia (Tues-Thurs) and Ela (Wed-Fri), my two co-interns. They get a lot done during the day at the desk next to mine!

Meet Julia.

Julia is a sophomore at the University of Miami.

Her favorite color is black because it matches everything and she enjoys Maryland crabs (yum).

Her favorite movie is Pirates of the Caribbean; “I have a minor obsession with all things pirate, and by minor I mean it all started at my pirate-themed 4th birthday.”

Julia’s hobbies: Play guitar, listen to music, watch movies, play sports, and sight-see at national historical sites (she’s a complete history nerd).

Why she likes her Gramophone internship: “I get the chance to work with fun and interesting people while getting the opportunity to learn all of the ins and outs of the marketing business. Every time I walk into a showroom it’s hard to get myself back to work because the theaters are just so awesome!”

Meet Ela.

Ela is a senior at UMBC, majoring in media & communication studies and Spanish.

She studied abroad in Argentina fall 2010.

She loves to play with her dog, Nina, as well as rock climb, read, and watch the TV show Dexter.

What Ela has learned at Gramophone so far: “Marketing is about creating and maintaining brand engagement with the customers. If you form a foundation around that idea, you can start producing successful campaigns and create brand awareness.”
