Our client was so pleased with Gramophone's transformation of their main home that they asked us to take on their bayside retreat as well.
They felt that their main living space lacked functionality and proper flow. It was important to them to find a balance between privacy and viewing the gorgeous waterfront.
Our team flipped the dining and living room which made the spaces more functional, accessible and inviting. We then updated the decor to mirror the town's "old charm" feel. We adorned the fireplace with a gray, aged style, wood planking, and the TV surround sound system was installed above the custom built-ins and atop a classic brick veneer. We provided the clients, who are avid readers, with a cozy space for that purpose by creating a custom bench and cushion with views of the waterfront. In addition, we also transformed the front entrance by flanking the door with custom built, individually lit library shelves, showing off their love of classic books.
In the kitchen, our team refinished the cabinets in a lovely gray stain and carried that finish into the powder room. The cabinets were then dressed with new hardware and to top off the refreshed look, a beautiful lightly colored, brick backsplash was installed. The tray ceilings were configured to fit the new layout, and accented with custom-made wood beams to achieve the relaxed beachy feel the client's desired.
Last but not least, Gramophone incorporated new LVT flooring, a motorized Lutron shading system, lighting control and an AV system for expanded, whole home functionality.
