Celebrating a unique 45-year relationship

Bowers & Wilkins’ relationship with Abbey Road began in 1980 when the first 800 Series loudspeaker was adopted as the legendary recording studio’s monitor of choice. It wasn’t designed as a studio monitor, but when it was first used at the studios, the engineers at Abbey Road immediately understood its value.

Abbey Road-inspired finish

The Vintage Walnut cabinet is inspired by the iconic musical instruments that have illuminated Abbey Road over the decades. It’s complemented by a red Leather by Connolly trim, referencing both the control room in Studio Two and the red leather chairs used by generations of performers in Studio One.

Limited-edition backplate

Each 801 Abbey Road Limited Edition loudspeaker is the ultimate expression of high-performance engineering and features a stainless steel backplate celebrating its exclusivity. Available in strictly limited numbers, every speaker is detailed as part of only 140 pairs in existence, alongside the iconic Abbey Road logo.

Solid Body Tweeter

Bowers & Wilkins' Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing features an elongated form with a longer tube-loading system and an all-new design of tweeter grille, producing an even more free and open sound with high frequencies.

Optimized for perfection

The 801 D4 Signature is an optimized version of our most advanced loudspeaker. It features meticulously evolved technology, carefully crafted design, and unique finishes that culminate in the pinnacle of performance. This is Bowers & Wilkins’ flagship loudspeaker perfected.
